Abstract:

Software-defined networking (SDN) is a networking approach that enables network administrators to centrally manage and configure network services using software applications. In the context of data center networking, SDN provides a more flexible and scalable solution to traditional networking methods. SDN architecture separates the control plane from the data plane, allowing for greater programmability and automation of network functions. This approach also enables network administrators to manage network policies and configurations at a higher level of abstraction, which can significantly reduce complexity and increase operational efficiency. With SDN, data center networking becomes more agile, adaptable, and responsive to the changing demands of modern applications and services.
