Abstract of the talk:

Multi-port antenna configurations are one of the key enabling technologies for future (6G and beyond) wireless communication systems employing MIMO and Full-duplex principles, as well as automotive Radars for ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems). In this talk, first we will discuss various collinearly polarized in-band two-port microstrip antennas for full-duplex (FD) application, where passive self-interference cancellation is achieved from extremely high inter-port isolation. We will then highlight a technique to reduce the effect of undesirable higher order modes from resonator loaded multi-port microstrip patch antennas that are suitable for phased arrays and sub-6 GHz massive MIMO systems. Finally, we will present the design of antenna arrays for mm-wave MIMO Radars and emphasize upon techniques for modelling of the resultant electromagnetic interactions with vehicular platforms.
