Dr. Sarang Pendharker

My research interests lie at the interface of optical physics and communication engineering. I investigate the fundamental properties of electromagnetic radiation and its interaction with media and explore the possibilities of next-generation technologies.
Dr. Sarang Pendharker received his M.Tech+Ph.D. Dual Degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India, in Dec. 2014. He has three years of postdoctoral research experience at the University of Alberta, Canada. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Electronics & Electrical Communication Engineering, at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. His research specialization is in the area of microwaves, photonics, and electromagnetic wave theory. His current research interests are in innovating the next generation of microwave/mmWave devices based on new optical physics phenomena, and in the integration of photonics and microwave technologies.

Dr. Vivek Dixit

Vivek Dixit received the B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Delhi, New Delhi, India in 2004 and the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore, Singapore in 2010. From 2009 to 2013, he worked as a Scientist at the Institute of High-Performance Computing, Singapore. From 2013 to 2015, he was a faculty member in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India, where he was involved in teaching and research activities. Since March 2015, he is working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering, IIT Kharagpur, Kharagpur, India.

Dr. Bibhu Datta Sahoo

Bibhu Datta Sahoo received the B.Tech. degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India, in 1998, the M.S.E.E. degree from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN, USA, in 2000, and the Ph.D.E.E. Degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2009. From 2000 to 2006, he was with DSP Microelectronics Group, Broadcom Corporation, Irvine, CA, where he designed analog and digital integrated circuits for signal-processing applications. From December 2008 to February 2010, he was with Maxlinear Inc., Carlsbad, CA, where he was involved in designing integrated circuits for CMOS TV tuners. From March 2010 to November 2010, he was a Post-Doctoral Researcher with the University of California, Los Angeles. From December 2010 to December 2011, he was an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. From January 2012 to May 2017, he was an Associate Professor with the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Amrita University, Amritapuri, India. From January 2016 to May 2017 he was at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign on a sabbatical. Since August 2017 he has been Associate Professor at IIT Kharagpur. His research interests include analog and mixed signal circuit design, data converters, and signal processing. He received the 2008 Analog Devices Outstanding Student Designer Award and was the co-recipient of the 2013 CICC Best Paper Award. He was the Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems-II from Aug. 2014 to Dec. 2015.

Dr. Arijit De

Arijit De received his B.Tech. degree from IIT Kharagpur, Kharagpur, India, in 2004, and the Ph.D. degree from Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY, USA, in 2010. He joined the Department of Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering, IIT Kharagpur, as an Assistant Professor in 2010, where he has been as an Associate Professor, since 2016. He has co-authored the book titled “Time and Frequency Domain Solutions of EM problems using Integral Equation and a Hybrid Methodology” published by Wiley and IEEE Press in 2010. His current research interests include computational electromagnetics and radar signal processing. Dr. De received the Young Scientist Award from URSI in 2011

Dr. Mrinal Kanti Mandal

Dr. Mrinal received his B.Tech.from the Institute of Radiophysics and Electronics, University of Calcutta/ Radiophysics and Electronics in 2001 and M. Tech in 2003 from the same institute. He received his Ph.D. from IIT Kharagpur in 2008. He was a research fellow in the Institute for Infocomm Research, Agency for Science, Technology and Research, Singapore (2007 – 2009), Postdoctoral Fellow – University du Quebec at Montreal, Montreal, Canada (2009 – 2010). and Postdoctoral Fellow – Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal, Montreal, Canada (2010 – 2012). He joined IIT Kharagpur in 2013

Dr. Akhilesh Mohan

He worked as a Scientist/Engineer at Space Applications Center, Indian Space Research Organization, Ahmedabad from Feb. 2008 to July 2010. In 2010, he joined the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur as an Assistant Professor, where he was involved in teaching and research activities. Since May 2013, he is working as an Assistant Professor in E&ECE Department at IIT Kharagpur, India. He has authored or co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed international journal and conference papers. His research interests are RF/microwave filters and planar antennas for wireless communication systems.
