About the Workshop:
Deep learning networks and Generative AI are at the forefront of the technological revolution transforming how we approach and solve complex real world problems. Deep learning networks, based on the artificial neural networks have led to significant advancements in image and speech processing, natural language processing and autonomous systems. Generative AI on the other hand enables machines to generate new data that closely resembles real-world inputs. Overall, deep learning networks and generative AI have become essential components of the modern technological landscapes. The main objective of the workshop is to empower the participants on Machine learning, Deep learning networks and Generative AI and to give hands-on training on applying Deep learning networks for practical applications using MATLAB software.

INCOS’19 (11th13th April 2019)

KARE-IEEE Power and Energy Society has organized a three days International Conference on “Intelligent Techniques in Control, Optimization and Signal Processing (INCOS’19)” technically co- sponsored by IEEE Madras Section during 11th  -13th  April 2019. The inaugural function of the workshop was conducted at 9.30 AM on 11-04-2019. The conference was inaugurated by Dr. D. Thukaram, Professor (Rtd), IISc, Bangalore.

The Proceedings of the conference was also released by Dr. D. Thukaram. The Electronic version of proceeding was released by Dr. Palanichamy, Professor, Multimedia University, Malaysia. The Souvenir of INCOS’19 was released by Dr. P. A. Manoharan, Chairman IEEE Madras Section 

Teacher In Service Programme (TISP) ( 1st – 2nd November 2018)

IEEE Madras Section in association with IEEE R 10 has conducted a Teacher in Service Programme (TISP) during November 1-2, 2018 at LINGA Global School, Krishnankoil near Srivilliputtur. . The Chief Guest for the inaugural function was Dr. Anandha krishnaveni, Prinipal, Arulmigu Kalasalingam College of Education. Thirty three teachers from various schools participated in this two days event.

This program mainly focused about the challenges in the present School education and the objective of the Teacher in Service Program for upgrading the scenario in the present curriculum.

IEEE FDP on “Software Tools for Simulation and Analysis of Power System” (24th – 26th May 2018)

IEEE Madras Section and IEEE SB of Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education have organised a Faculty Development Program on the topic of “Software Tools for Simulation and Analysis of Power System” during 24-26th May 2018 at the University Campus. The inaugural function of the FDP programme was held on 24th May 2018 at 9.30 am. The Chief Guest for the inaugural function was          Er. R Paneer Selvam, General Manager /Projects, Indus High Power Consultancies.

Through the three days Faculty Development Programme, participants have benefitted in gaining knowledge about different software tools for power system studies.

Workshop on “Evolutionary Algorithms for Engineering Optimization Problems” (20th – 21st  December 2018)

KARE-IEEE Computational Intelligence Society has organized a two days workshop on “Evolutionary Algorithms for Engineering Optimization Problems” sponsored by IEEE CIS Madras Chapter during 20th  -21st  December 2018. The inaugural function of the workshop was conducted at 9.30 AM on 20.12.2018. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. P. Ganesh kumar, Assistant Professor, Anna University, Coimbatore.

This workshop has helped the participants to learn the implementation aspects of Evolutionary algorithms for real world applications.

IEEE – Tirunelveli Hub Congress 2017  (22nd 23rd  September 2017)

The IEEE Student Branch of Kalasalingam University organized the IEEE – Tirunelveli Hub Congress 2017 during 22nd to 23rd September 2017. The Hub Congress was inaugurated on 22nd September 2017 at 9:30 am. The hub congress was inaugurated by Mr. H. R. Mohan, Vice Chairman, IEEE Madras Section. . The Guest of honor of the function, Dr. S. Radha, Executive Member, IEEE Madras Section, felicitated the occasion. About 300 members were participated in the Hub Congress.
