Game Streaming

Heavy games require dedicated hardwares such as graphics card to process the games or dedicated consoles like the Xbox or the Play Station is. All these hard wares and consoles are pricey. An upcoming technology called Game Streaming may be the solution for this. This technology is at its initial stages of development and soon this should be available around the globe in a year or two.
This technology is based on Cloud Computing. We can just play any video game on any device at any where provided, if we have a good internet connection. All the processing is done at data centers
located around the globe and the output is streamed to the client via the internet. This is also called
Cloud Gaming.

There are few companies which have started offering this services. Popular companies include Sony’s Play Station Now, Nvidia’s Geforce Now, Google’s Stadia and much more companies are coming up with this tech.

These game streaming services come up with a library of games with about 80+ games. And a user can use these services for free of cost or a subscription based service. Especially in Geforce Now, a free user can stream games only for an hour but a subscribed user can stream up 6 hours. And with Stadia, we can game just from our browser.

Depending on the internet speed the quality of streaming differs.
Nvidia recommends that a 50 megabits/second internet connection is required to stream games at 1080p at 60 fps. And Google claims to offer 4K game streaming in the upcoming years. Day by day our data speeds are increasing and soon this tech will be in use at many places. So, we can play any video game any where any time and in any devices with this tech

Techno Quizzo

The crack brain event of the IEEE and WIE clubs for the academic year 2020-2021 was labelled as ‘TECHNO QUIZZO’. The event was conducted between 28/12/2020 and 05/01/2021 by virtual mode. The event was prepared and conducted by Mr.P.J. Harshavardhan of II EEE. The important aim of the event was to give a technical insight into various advancements in different fields . Many students had actively enrolled and participated. Participants tried most of the questions with their knowledge and learned the same. The event helped students to know about recent advancements in engineering and was enlightening to all. The event was assisted by our branch counsellor Mr. C. Kalyana Sundaram M. E., Assistant-Professor-Department of ECE.

FOODTECHIE

The Introductory event of the IEEE and WIE clubs for the academic year 2020-2021 was labeled as ‘FOODTECHIE’. The event was conducted between 14/10/2020 and 17/10/2020 by virtual mode. The event was jointly prepared and conducted by Ms. S. Sowmya of II-ECE and Mr. K. Vishwaugh of II-ECE. The important aim of the event was to brush up on some of the technical terms that had we come across in our day to day life. Many students had actively enrolled and participated by guessing the technical terms from the given food recipes.  Students answered most of the questions correctly by relating food and technology most appropriately. The event helped students gain knowledge about recent software applications and were really informative to all. The event was headed by our branch counsellor Mr. C. Kalyana Sundaram M. E., Assistant-Professor-Department of ECE.
