Highlights included a keynote address by Mr. Dinanath Kholkar on emerging technologies and future workforce skills, remarks by IEEE STB Chair Samarth Dongare on the branch’s achievements, and an alumni talk by Parv Gupta, highlighting milestones and projects. The celebration also recognized the contributions of student volunteers and winners of the Treasure Hunt 2024 during an award function. The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony and a group photo, symbolizing unity and pride within the IEEE community. The MIT ADT School of Computing International Conference (MITADTSoCiCon 2024), supported by IEEE Pune Section, provided a platform for UG/PG students, researchers, and industry experts to explore AI’s role across domains like AR/VR, Big Data, Blockchain, and Cybersecurity. Convened by Dr. Reena Pagare, the event featured engaging tutorials led by experts, including Dr. Shivnarayan Khandre on AI in psychology, Dr. Sujit Jagtap on epilepsy myths and facts, and Dr. Harish Patankar on AI in Ayurveda. Each session highlighted AI’s transformative potential in diverse fields, emphasizing advancements in personalized healthcare, mental health support, and destigmatization.
The conference saw consistent participation of 40-50 students per session, fostering vibrant discussions and collaborative learning. Held online, the event aimed to amplify women’s voices by encouraging participants, particularly young girls, to share their unique journeys through art. The competition received significant submissions showcasing themes like empowerment and gender equality, fostering vibrant engagement and community building.
