TECHNICAL TREASURE HUNT
Date: 12th February 2020
Conducted by : IEEE Student Branch REVA University
The student’s problem solving abilities were put to test with the help of scientific riddles andgeneral knowledge questions. The students were very enthusiastic and enjoyed the event.
There were two rounds with 5 questions in each. The first clue led to a venue where the
next clues were delivered and the hunt continued till the last clue was found. Technical
Treasure hunt tested the physical and mental abilities of the students. Students solved theirquestions and the team that finished solving all the clues first was declared winner andconsidered treasure holder of the day and received the prize, the second runner ups alsoreceived a prize.
TECHNICAL TALK On Language Structure and Fuzzy Similarity

The IEEE Student Branch REVA University organized a technical talk on “Language Structure
and Fuzzy Similarity” on 14th February 2020 for the students of C&IT and ECE.
Around 120 students of C&IT and ECE, along with some faculty members from School of C&IT
and ECE had attended this program. The Guest speaker told about the various aspects related
to the topic and its application. He also talked on the ongoing research in this field.
The session was an interactive one. The students were curious to know about the topic and
asked questions related to it. The speaker was happy to address their queries and he also
shared his contact details for further assistance.
It was a successful and knowledgeable event.
IEEE Membership Drive and Awareness program on various IEEE Funding Schemes

The speaker was Dr. Shrikant Tangade (Chair, MDC, IEEE Bangalore Section & SAC Ambassador, IEEE R10 Asia Pacific). Around 245 students of C&IT attended the Session in two different slots 02.00 p.m. to 03.00 p.m. and 03.00 p.m. to 04.00 p.m. Dr. Shrikant Tangade, gave the detailed information about the IEEE professional memberships and its importance for a technical student. He also spoke about the various benefits of becoming an IEEE member and getting various funding from section and global level. The event was concluded with quiz competition.

TECHNICAL TALK On “Art of Research Paper Writing and Publication”

Dr. Sunil Kumar S Manvi sir, gave a detailed explanation about the various sections in a
research paper. He also motivated the students to come forward in the field of research.
On behalf of IEEE Student Branch, we would to like express our sincere thanks to our Dr.Sunil
kumar S Maniv sir, for accepted our invitation and delivered an excellent presentation on
Research paper writing and Publication.
Students felt really happy on the knowledge gained on this session, also have keen interest of
taking their project and research work into the International community in terms of quality
publications.
The event ended with a quiz and distribution of IEEE goodie
