A Journey of Innovation and Excellence: The History of Sri Sai Ram Institute of Technology IEEE Student Branch
On March 31, 2021, a new chapter in the history of Sri Sai Ram Institute of Technology (SIT) began with the inauguration of the IEEE Student Branch. This momentous occasion marked the birth of a dynamic community dedicated to fostering technological advancements and nurturing young minds in the world of engineering and technology.
In its inaugural year, the IEEE Sri Sai Ram Institute of Technology Student Branch initiated several pioneering efforts. The first society to be inaugurated was the Power and Energy Society (PES), setting the stage for a host of innovative endeavors. Soon after, the Computer and Intelligence Society (CIS) and Computer Society (CS) societies were also launched, enriching the branch’s diversity and breadth of expertise.
Throughout its journey, the IEEE Sri Sai Ram Institute of Technology Student Branch has been a hub of activity, organizing a multitude of events that have left an indelible mark. Some of these include the highly acclaimed WARROS’21, Tech Siesta, Kalaicharal, Techno Fest, Dynamic Programming competitions, and the exhilarating Xtreme event. The IEEE Day Carnival, Forby Series, and many other initiatives have added to the branch’s vibrant tapestry of activities. Forby series is a unique initiative undertaken by the student where the event focuses on the concept of “For the student by the student” # Onlearning where the students teach their friends on their expert domain
Leadership and mentorship have played pivotal roles in shaping the IEEE Sri Sai Ram Institute of Technology Student Branch. Dr. Saritha G, from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, was chosen as the SB Counsellor, providing invaluable guidance and support. Monish K was selected as the first Student Branch Chairman, entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the branch’s activities. The branch expanded its leadership with Mrs. R.
