FESTIVE WEEK 2.0 – THE UNLOCK IOT

This report serves as a comprehensive summary of our recent event, FESTIVE WEEK 2.0 DAY 5 – THE UNLOCK IOT organised by the 2nd Year students of the Department Of AI&DS in association with IEEE Consumer Technology Society. The event took position in offline mode in classroom under the guidance of Dr. Su Suganthi. HOD of the Department of AI&DS, Mrs. A Sathiya. Advisor of the IEEE Consumer Technology Society and our event coordinator Mr. Nithish Kumar R – 3rd year (AI-DS) from 1:15 p.m. – 4.00 p.m. The event was scheduled with 5 different segments beginning with unlocking iot – a presentation on iot, followed by the hands-on session where students were given an opportunity to engage with sensors. Midway between these sessions tech and non tech event was conducted to keep them involved and focused. The LOL Meme contest was proclaimed to the 2nd Year students of the Department Of AI&DS a week prior of the event. Finally at the end of the session THE MEME MASTER of the contest was awarded with cash prize by Mr. Jeyaganesan tagged along with the tech and non tech event winners. We expressed our gratitude to our senior Mr. Radha Rukman for educating us about iot and our event coordinator Mr. Nithish Kumar R with a small token of appreciation. The whole session was fun and fruitful.

FESTIVE WEEK 2.0 – GITHUB SEMINAR

The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science's second-year students, together with the IEEE Consumer Technology Society, arranged THE FESTIVE WEEK 2.0 DAY 3 GITHUB event on October 25, 2023. The offline event was held on AI-DS lab from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Dr. Su Suganthi. HOD of the Department of AI&DS. oversaw the event, while Mrs. A Sathiya. Advisor of the IEEE Consumer Technology Society, oversaw its coordination. The program included brief workshops covering the fundamentals of GitHub and gaining a deeper understanding of GitHub technology. After receiving an introduction to github. students played a technical quiz to keep themselves occupied and assess their recall. The GitHub technology was then thoroughly described. followed it, and we got positive feedback. And guest talk was given by Mrs. R. Prabavathi Assistant Professor Department of IT and IEEE-Computational Intelligence Society, shared about the insight of Machine Learning. Then non-technical event was held every student took part in the activity. The entire discussion was lively and participatory. The tournament winners were finally announced. A tiny token of gratitude was also given to the event coordinators in recognition of their efforts.

FESTIVE WEEK 2.0 – Data Science

The event on Festive Week was a workshop-based session on “DATA SCIENCE!”. It had four different phases - Overview(basics of data science), Shout and Silence (5 team members are made to put on a headset in which music will be playing on the loudest volume, The event organizer whispers a word to team member 1 which is then passed onto the other team members in an order. Once the word reaches the last team member, if the word that he received is the same as the word that was provided to team member 1, then the team wins). The third phase which was conducted after the break consisted of seminar session regarding various algorithms in machine learning. Continuing this, the fourth phase was a seminar session explaining through live data sets in google collab.
