Webinar on “Intellectual Property Rights & Patent Analysis”
The Srinivas University IEEE Student Branch arranged a Webinar on “Intellectual Property Rights & Patent Analysis” on the 4th of December 2020. Dr. P. S. Aithal, Vice-Chancellor, Srinivas University was the resource person.
“Patent analysis is an interesting branch of research. Every patent filed becomes the source of research to a scholar. A patent gives a new technical solution to a problem. It is the original idea of the patentee. Analyzing a patent will make a researcher to evaluate the patent and improvise the same to file a new one. Patent analysis is used to critically evaluate the patent. Though Indians are intelligent they are less aware of the patent filing process.” In his lecture he explained the importance of a patent, the structure of a patent, process of filing a patent, analyzing a patent, etc.
Vijaya Raj, Vice-Chair, IEEE Srinivas University Student Branch welcomed, introduced the resource person, and also proposed a vote of thanks. Dr. Krishna Prasad K, Counselor, IEEE SUSB guided the proceedings of the webinar.
