The Srinivas University IEEE Student Branch organized Technical Talk on “Research and Publication Ethics” on the 22^ndof December 2020.  Dr.Karunakar A Kotegar, Professor and Head, Dept of Computer Application, Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal conducted the session. In his session, he explained the important aspects of research, researcher-supervisor relationship and the ethics to be followed when publishing the research articles.

“Ph D is the foundation for a long research career. Research should be a passion not an option. Researcher should be dare enough to think differently. One cannot write the entire paper without referring the research articles but should contribute a small original thought. Researcher and the supervisor have to travel a long way together so one need to maintain a good relationship with the supervisor. Researcher should maintain physical, mental and emotional fitness throughout the research career. Yoga, meditation and regular exercises help the researcher to overcome the stress. When writing research articles, the researcher should avoid copy-paste operation. For easy reading researcher should refer white-papers. “he said.
