IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers)

The largest professional technical community in the world, dedicated to promoting innovation and technological excellence, was founded in 1884 and serves professionals in the fields of electrical, electronic, and computing engineering. The organization’s roots can be traced back to the telegraph, telephone, and electric power industries. IEEE (pronounced “E-triple-E”) stands for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and was established under this name, which is its full legal name.

IEEE-YU-SB

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers at Yarmouk University (IEEE-YU-SB) is considered one of the largest student branches in the kingdom, encompassing eight student societies, each representing a wide range of interests for students who strive for innovation and development.
Since its establishment in 2014, the branch has sought to disseminate knowledge and contribute to effectively integrating students into the job market. The student branch at Yarmouk University has organized over 200 educational workshops covering various technical and non-technical fields, as well as more than 50 technical courses, each lasting at least 20 hours. Additionally, the branch has organized numerous scientific and recreational trips, conferences, and has also hosted international competitions.

The number of members

has over 300 members and more than 400 volunteers, making the student branch distinguished in all the activities and events it organizes.
