Student members of the IEEE Yarmouk University branch achieve a new achievement in the Arab Forum for Innovation in Sustainable Development Goals”
Yarmouk University students – members of the IEEE student branch at Yarmouk University, with the organization of the branch head, Engineer Saif El-Din Hassouna, participate in volunteering to organize the Arab Forum for Innovation in Sustainable Development Goals, the first of its kind at the Arab Open University, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal Al Saud. president Board of Trustees of the Arab Open University, may God protect and preserve it.
As we are always accustomed to seeing our students striving for the pinnacle and excellence and exploiting every opportunity to raise the name of Yarmouk University, the highest percentage of attendance was from Yarmouk University with pride, as 70 students attended over two days, and the presence of Engineer Saif Al-Din Hassouna in the basic organization team.

is part of our student community’s participation in the IEEE R8 Conference, represented by Student & Young Professional Congress 2022 by student Fatima Al-Zamil and student Qusai Al-Mashriqi, where the achievements of the student branch of Yarmouk University in Tunisia were shared with more than 40 students.
The SYP Conference is a conference held every two years at the IEEE 8 Region level to bring together students and experts from more than 40 countries from the Middle East, Africa and Europe. It is considered an irreplaceable opportunity to exchange experiences and cultures and to expand the circle of knowledge in the fields of engineering and technology.

With moments of technological inspiration, and as we are accustomed to continuous support and keenness to produce a distinguished elite of future makers and science pioneers, we are pleased to share with you a step that is close to the heart and is not strange to what we have known and received; On Sunday, the twenty-fifth of February, we were honored by the visit of Dr. Musa Al-Akhras, head of the Jordan branch of IEEE, to Yarmouk University and his meeting with the members and thanking them for their efforts that have been made recently and the successive positions and successes that have been achieved. The doctor emphasized their encouragement, support, and hearing their demands within a friendly atmosphere that prevailed. Following the launch of the “Innovate IoT Challenge Hackathon” , an innovation hackathon in the field of Internet of Things, organized by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers at the Yarmouk University branch, under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Islam Masad
.
The hackathon took place at the Hajawi College, where the first sessions were held on campus, and the remaining sessions were conducted online with the coordination and organization of the team in collaboration with Rich Sye team to develop the participants’ skills and train them in critical thinking and innovative skills.
After completing the sessions and concluding this exceptional hackathon, with the participation of over sixty students from the Hajawi College, we are pleased to congratulate the winners on their outstanding projects. The first place was awarded to the team “CanSense,” consisting of students Tala Al-Azzam and Farah Al-Zubaidi from the Hajawi College. The second place was awarded to the team “Smart Bin,” consisting of Akramah Maher Al-Jamrah, Ammar Al-Haj, Salsabeel Al-Amayreh, and Noor Al-Duairi, who are also students from the Hajawi College.

Hijjawi stressed the important role of IEEE and praised the achievements made during the past period. He also stressed the importance of what the branch provides to college students and encouraged the continuation of this

Within the “Dreams” series of charitable campaigns that were founded on the approach of giving and drawing impact, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Yarmouk University Branch (IEEE YU), opened the first of these charitable works on Saturday, 3/30/2024. By holding a charity breakfast for a group of orphans in an atmosphere of overwhelming love. This is with the participation of the Deanship of Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology, represented by Professor Mwaffaq Otoom, the branch advisor, Dr. Zaid Bataineh, and the administrative and teaching staff at the college. This charitable work included entertaining and purposeful entertainment for more than fifty children, with the participation of students from various departments of Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology. This campaign painted joy and smiles on the faces of the children and planted in the hearts of the college students the spirit of giving and the seed of goodness based on cooperation and social solidarity. After eating breakfast, gifts were distributed in an atmosphere full of joy and happiness, filling everyone’s hearts with the fruits of goodness and cooperation, so that we can complete our mark in the world of influence, and so that the impact remains on us as long as we live. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this work, and we ask God for success and guidance to continue on this bright path.
The Scientific Day of Al-Hijjawi College, with the participation of the student branch of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in organizing the activities of the Scientific Day, which was held at the Al-Hijjawi College of Engineering Technology to celebrate the fortieth anniversary of its founding. It aims to shed light on the achievements of the college and its students in the fields of scientific research and innovation, in the presence of Al-Ain Professor Dr. Labib Al-Khadra and Engineer Ayman. Hijjawi, the university president, Dr. Islam Massad, and a generous presence from various groups. During this day, college students presented their research and applied projects in various engineering and technological disciplines as part of an exhibition of student research and achievements in various fields, and interactive workshops were presented in various fields that benefit the student. ? This day included a tribute to the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Yarmouk University Branch, IEEE, and its various societies. This day witnessed a large turnout from students, professors and attendees. The event enabled students to showcase their creativity and enhance their research and innovation skills.
