IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) 

It is an initiative aimed at enhancing the role and participation of women in the field Engineering and Technology. It is the largest international professional organization dedicated to promoting female engineers and scientists and inspiring girls around the world to pursue our interests and work in the academic field of engineering. Its mission is Organizations in Recruiting and Retaining Women, IEEE Envisions A vibrant community of women and men who use their diverse talents to innovate for the good of humanity 

Activities

Professor Saifur Rahman; IEEE president and CEO

He is the founder of the Institute for Advanced Research at Virginia Tech in the United States of America, was president of the Society on Sustainable Energy (IEEE) and the IEEE Electrification Transactions, and is the founding editor-in-chief of PES magazine in 2019 and 2018.

The meeting was held in the Yarmouk University edifice in the presence of a number of doctors and students from the Hijjawi College of Engineering Technology. The meeting included many aspects

Related to the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in general, the conversation centered around the benefit of joining the institute, its vision and future plans, and its impact on the career of engineering students.

The Women in Engineering affinity group announces the “Arduino Basics” workshop

 Which will be held in two stages as follows: 

Stage 1: Arduino basics 1

 – On Sunday , 12/3.

 Stage 2: Arduino basics 2||Arduino basic2

 –  On Wednesday, 12/6.

 In Lab 525 at Hijjawi College.

 At 12:30 – 2:00.This workshop will be presented by the talented Mohammed Al-Zumat and Raneem Yassen.

AI using Python

The Women in Engineering Community announces my workshop on “Artificial Intelligence using Python” || C and performance of Python, which is a programming language that combines syntax

Two separate workshops will be presented with a group of elite engineers on two different days.

12/4- On Monday, this workshop will be presented by engineer Alaa Muheisen.

The Women in Engineering affinity group announces the “Statistics using R studio” workshop.Which will be held on Thursday 7/12.In Lab 525 at Hijjawi College.At 11:30 – 2:00.This workshop will be presented by Dr.Shifa Tawalbeh

“Requirements to adapt to the labor market” presented by the wonderful trainer, Jaafar Shehabat, Vice President of the Sago Group.

In cooperation with the Committee of Young Engineers and Electrical Media in the Jordanian Engineers Association, the Energy Association, Al-Hussein Bin Talal University Branch, and the community of computer engineers in the Yarmouk University Branch, we announce to you a training workshop entitled “How to prove yourself in a job interview.”

🔸How to prepare yourself for a job interview

🔸How to behave during a job interview and the strategies used to make it successful 🔸Focus on body language, what is possible, and the first impression

🔸Knowing the type of company you will be interviewing with and the job identity of the person who will be interviewing you

🔸Common mistakes in job interviews, such as physical errors and scientific errors during the course of the interview 🔸Distinguishing positive and negative indicators after the job interview

🔸 What you do after the job interview in terms of monitoring the company’s website 🔸 What are the questions that you as a job applicant have the right to ask about and their limits?

Following the end of the first FVTU conference of its kind by the women’s engineering community at Al-Balqa Applied University/Faculty of Engineering Technology, we share with you part of our participation 

From Venus To Universe

With the praise and grace of God, our first event of its kind, “The Open Day for the Women in Engineering Community in Jordan,” was concluded in the Yarmouk University edifice under the patronage of the President of Yarmouk University, Professor Dr. Islam Massad, and Professor Dr. Muwaffaq Al-Amoush, Vice President for Affairs, attended as his representative.

In the IEEE Academy, we have achieved remarkable success as a result of cooperation between female students in engineering colleges from the communities of women in engineering from the branches

The universities of Yarmouk, Science and Technology, Mu’tah, Balqa Applied University, and Al-Hosn College, and under the supervision and organization of the President of the Society of Women in Engineering Branch

“A society that bets on creativity”

A visit to the Crown Prince Foundation in Amman to support youth in adopting entrepreneurial projects and ideas, accompanied by 8/11/2022. We completed the day corresponding to

Branch supervisor, Dr. Yousra Obeidat, and a group of members of the women’s community in engineering.

It is not the end, but the tremor of the beginning.

 In our belief in the necessity of educating Jordanian schoolgirls about various  engineering specialties and encouraging them to enter these fields, as well as broadening their understanding of engineering and connecting it to the real world, our WIE affinity group at Yarmouk University had a successful visit to the Yarmouk Model School in Irbid. We delivered a detailed lecture to tenth-grade and first-year high school girls, in which we covered:

1- Introduction to the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

2- Introduction to the Women in Engineering community.

3- An overview of engineering and its various specialties and fields.

4- A practical experience presentation from the field of Electronics Engineering.

Where JEEIT participated in the Third Jordanian International Conference for Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, 5/23/2023, held on Tuesday, 2023.

The two students, Ahlam Zyoud, our community officer, and Ruaa Obaidat, a community member, to represent the Women in Engineering Booth, Jordan Branch, nominated by a supervisor.
