The Association for Electronic and Space Systems (AESS), a professional association affiliated with the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Systems (IEEE), aims to advance knowledge, understanding, and advancement in the field of integrated electronic and space systems. AESS is the only association that focuses specifically on this field . 

Activities

The new space-focused chapter of the IEEE, Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society was opened on Sunday, May 21 2023 from 11am to 2pm in Boshnak Hall.

This workshop is presented by Arwa Bin Tarif, Lana Al-Balkhi, and Tasbih Al-Argha, three enthusiastic and creative young women who share a passion for space exploration. Their interest in space has led them to pursue a unique project over the past two years: designing and building two space suits. Using their combined knowledge and skills, these women have been able to create suits that look amazing and function effectively in simulated space conditions. Many topics will be discussed, including: – The history of space suits: – The famous space suits in history. – Eva, IVA and analog suits – Challenges and solutions in this field. – The future of space suits. – Companies and job opportunities in the space suit industry. – Sharing our journey and experience in making two analog space suits.

For those who are passionate about the science of analysis, logic, and numbers, and for those who are ready to enhance their scientific and creative skills in mathematics, we announce to you, in cooperation with the CEIBA team, the first Mathematics Olympiad competition to be held within the Hijjawi College of Technological Engineering under the title: “Hijjawi Mathematical Olympiad.” The CEIBA team is a volunteer team of students from the Hijjawi College that contributes to enhancing students’ capabilities and developing… Their skills in various scientific fields. Space and Electronic Systems Society (AESS), in cooperation with the Astronomical Society in Qatif. They present a workshop entitled: Redshift and Blueshift: From Physics to Astronomy. Presented by Dr. Hanna Sabat, Vice President of the Jordanian Astronomical Society and Director of Scientific Affairs at the Regional Center for Space Science and Technology Education for West Asia, to present to you a workshop on red and blueshift. Workshop topics: – Basics of electromagnetic radiation and astronomical observation. – Some radiation mechanisms and the Doppler-Fizeau effect. – Red and blueshift: concepts and applications. – The theory of general relativity: an overview. – Gravitational and cosmological redshift. – Redshift due to “stressful light” and Halton Arb.

The program aims to explore and explain the scientific miracle in Quranic verses related to astronomy.Lectures will be held every Friday, Saturday and Monday of the holy month of Ramadan, where Dr. Hussein Al-Omari will provide explanations and explanations about these verses and how they relate to knowledge.

The Space and Electronic Systems Society participated in the Booth Exhibition as part of the activities of the First Aviation and Seventh Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Conference, organized by the Arab University of Amman.

A course in sustainability and humanitarian projects with astronomical, mathematical, and entrepreneurial skills in the field of astronomy. It will also include talking about the most important humanitarian projects and ideas in the field of physics and astronomy.

🏆 Participants will receive a certificate from IEEE SIGHT and IEEE AESS and from the Arab Union for Astronomy.

👩‍🏫 The course is presented by: Astronomical trainer Dalal Al-Lala, a member of the Arab Union for Space Sciences and Astronomy, and the union’s representative in many Arab astronomical conferences and forums.

Within an important cooperation provided by the Space and Electronic Systems Community AESS with the Atypical community, we are pleased to announce the start of registration for the second edition of the Robbing Balloons competition, which is the first of its kind in the field of problem solving. The competition will witness the participation of a number of Jordanian universities, and the qualifiers will be held at Yarmouk University. Students will be able to participate through accredited laboratories that we will determine later
