Founded in 1963, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers IEEE is the world’s largest professional association with the core purpose of fostering technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. IEEE members include scientists, engineers and medical doctors. At a glance, IEEE has more than 421000 members in over 160 countries, contains 39 technical societies that organize 1600 annual conferences. IEEE publishes a third of the world’s technical literature. IEEE currently has over 1100 active standards including WiFi, ZigBee and FireWire and 500 other standards under development.

A Message from AUL's Committee
The IEEE AUL student branch is committed to advancing the field of electrical and electronics engineering within AUL University. Our mission revolves around nurturing a sense of community among engineering students and equipping them with the essential tools and resources to excel in both their academic and professional journeys. Our overarching objective is to encourage IEEE membership and active involvement across the university while inspiring current IEEE student members to maintain their engagement even beyond graduation. Furthermore, we aspire to establish robust connections with the IEEE Lebanon Section and actively partake in regional initiatives. Our aim is to elevate the quantity and quality of career and enterprise development activities. We strongly believe in fostering interactivity and collaboration, with a particular focus on boosting the participation of the Women in Engineering Chapter. Our dedication extends to forging partnerships with other schools and societies within the university to facilitate effective initiatives and collectively achieve our shared objectives.
