IEEE Student Branch is the best place for the student members to start their IEEE journey with. IEEE Student Branch of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka is the RUSL Student Chapter of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. As a pre-professional organization we are aiming at providing the University Students with the resources and extra-curricular experiences to assist them to wield their full potential as they make their entrance into the professional world. Our collective goal is to host events and competitions for the upliftment of the students.

The RUSL chapter of the IEEE Student Branch was established in the year 2018. Within its short journey, the student branch was so far able to conduct a series of programs, through which we believe that the needed exposure and opportunities were created for the participants to gain experience in a variety of disciplines. Inline with the vision and mission of IEEE, the student branch builds up the link for the student members to gain the most valuable benefits from their IEEE membership. Significance is, IEEE student branch of RUSL, not only empowers the IEEE student members, but also joins hands with the non IEEE members as well, in order to secure the future of the student community as a whole.
