Reasons to join

The benefits of IEEE membership alone far outweigh the cost of joining. Each of our members gets to learn more about the future that awaits them as well as the current trends and developments in the world.

Learning Lunches

Spend some time with us at merridian in a talk about useful tools, projects students are currently working on and much more.

And yes we know it’s lunch time so we will always have food at hand.

Site Visits

We like to go to companies and have a look at how things work there. Here our members get to see how big companies make their money and how their education plays a part in all of it.

Mentorship

Our members are also able to find mentors and join multiple communities under IEEE. This is all done and managed by the IEEE Collabratec platform which comes free with the membership.

And so much more

This is just a taste of it all. We also plan Hackathons, social hangouts with other Student Branches and there are many discounts on offer! You also have the chance to volunteer within the society.

  2.  Select the “Create Account” button. Enter your name, email address, password, and click on ‘Create Account’ button.
  3. Enter your address, education and employment information if needed to complete your registration.
  4. Enter the promotional code: “FUTURE50”. You then ‘Proceed to checkout’ after you’ve saved your information but do not pay!
  5. Take note of your membership number.

Renew

  2. Verify and/or update your address, education, and employment information if needed.

  4. Take note of your membership number.

Society Memberships

As you may know, you are free to join other societies within IEEE if they so interest you. In order to do this for you, we cannot simply do process this payment with new memberships and renewals. Please contact the secretary to process this.
