Who are we?

The UCT IEEE Student Branch is a local student branch that is based at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. We represent the student side of the worlds largest association of technical professionals, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Internationally, the IEEE has over 420 000 members. Our branch falls under IEEE South Africa which exists under Region 8 (Europe, Middle East and Africa).

Every year, we aim to expose our members to various events that aim to expand their horizons. Such events include Learning Lunches, Site Visits, Hackathons and Panel Discussions.

These are just a few of the events we offer and every year, we have more thrilling guests and locations that we visit.
