The IEEE Student Branch at the University of Cape Town (UCT) is pleased to announce the new Executive Committee (ExCom). The ExCom took lead as of 1 Nov. 2009, and has already hosted  two IEEE activities this week. The first activity was a joint activity supported by the IEEE AP/MTT/EMC Society Chapter, IEEE South Africa Section, and the second was a joint student branch – IEEE Communications Society Chapter and Women-in-Engineering (WIE) affinity group event.

The ExCom is further supported by various other graduate student member volunteers, including a lead for projects, chair: women-in-engineering affinity group, and chair: communications society technical chapter.

The ExCom extends special thanks to the past Student Branch ExCom at UCT for a fantastic lead of the branch, and particularly conveys thanks to Chair Veronica Sentongo for her most efficient and effective leadership.

The ExCom looks forward to furthering the lead in the year to come.
