2015 Ontario Technological Skills Competition (OTSC)

May 4 – 6, 2015, the Ontario Technological Skills Competition (OTSC) is Canada’s largest skilled trades competition. With over 65 contests, 1,900 competitors and 20,000 spectators, at RIM Park in Waterloo.
Ryan Green, a student of Centennial College has earned a bronze medal at the 43rd WorldSkills Competition in São Paulo, Brazil, in August 2015, making him one of the world’s best young construction equipment technicians.
Real World Engineering Program
RWEP projects allow students to discover the importance of various engineering and computer related fields of study in solving contemporary problems, and elicit excitement about creative problem solving.
IEEE is always looking for ways to better serve the needs of engineers and technology professionals working in industry. That’s why the IEEE in 2030 Challenge was created. This “seed grant” program is designed to encourage and support innovative, creative, and potentially disruptive approaches to serving engineers and technology professionals working in industry. Looking for the IEEE 2030 Smart Grid Interoperability standard? The IEEE New Initiatives Committee is currently accepting proposals for short-term (completed in 12 months or fewer) projects—the deadline is 15 September 2015.
