CREAT-A-THON 2021 RULEBOOK
ELIGIBILITY :
The Creatathon is open to all individuals currently enrolled in any Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in India.
TEAM SIZE :
- The team should consist of at least 2 and a maximum of 5 members.
- An eligible Individual may join only one Team.
- The team leader should represent, act, and enter a Submission, on the behalf of their team.
- IEEE Members get a discount on the registration fee.
GENERAL RULES :
- Every team must register only once.
- Teams with different team-names but same team-members will be disqualified.
- Teams are not allowed to bring their final prototype/model on the day of the Creat-A-Thon. The shortlisted participants need to build it on the spot on the day of the event in the stipulated time.
- Basic facilities like electricity, working space provided.
- The responsibility of the components and the materials required for developing the prototype during the Creat-A-Thon lies solely on the participating teams.
- Travelling & Lodging must be taken care of by the participants.
- Meals will be provided on a chargeable basis
SUBMISSION :
- All the teams are requested to submit their ideas in the form of an abstract on or before Nov 22nd, 2021 using the link provided on the website.
- The abstract submission will have to strictly follow the format provided on the website.
- Teams are requested to submit their ideas based on the categories mentioned.
- All materials submitted in connection with the Creatathon must be in English.

EVALUATION OF IDEAS :
- All the submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges from the respective industries for their
- Creativity
- Usability
- Practicality
- Innovativeness
- Presentation
- Marketability
- Bonus points for Social Media Tagging
- Bonus points for best poster creation.
- The top 20 percentile teams or a maximum of 20 teams (whichever is higher) will be shortlisted for the final round which will be held at Dayananda Sagar College Of Engineering, Bangalore.
- The shortlisted teams will be required to build their proposed prototype on the spot during the final event.
- The team shall not leave the competition premises once the event begins.
Registration Fee :
Rs 300 Per non-IEEE member
Rs 250 Per IEEE member
Prize :
- Winners of the Creat-A-thon will take home a cash prize of up to 15,000/-
Winners will also be given free entry worth 10,000 to the PACE program by the DERBI foundation.

JUDGING :
- The teams will be judged on their effectiveness of work during the event.
- The following criteria will be considered for the final judging:
- Percentage of completion
- Presentation
- Team-work
IMPORTANT DATES :
Nov 22nd, 2021 – Submission of abstract closes
Nov 23rd,2021 – Display of shortlisted teams.(Teams will be informed with in a week of abstract submission or latest by 23rd.)
Nov 24th, 2021 – Last date for the shortlisted teams to register and pay the registration fee
