Organized with enthusiasm and precision, the event served as a platform to amplify voices, challenge perspectives, and inspire action towards a more equitable future. Through engaging activities and insightful discussions, participants explored critical topics, shared ideas, and took steps toward driving real change in society. Honey and Nandini Welcome the guest Speech by Prof. Trupti Kudale – Inspiring Words of Empowerment Prof. Trupti Kudale delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking speech, addressing the importance of women's empowerment, leadership, and inclusivity in today’s world. She began by acknowledging the remarkable contributions of women in various fields and emphasized the need to break societal barriers that limit growth and opportunities. She spoke passionately about the role of education and self-confidence in shaping the future of young women, urging them to embrace challenges, push boundaries, and take leadership roles in STEM and beyond. She also highlighted the power of community and support systems, stressing how initiatives like IEEE WIE play a crucial role in fostering a culture of equality, mentorship, and innovation. Mission Sahasi Performance – A Tribute to Courage and Empowerment As part of the Women’s Day Event, the Mission Sahasi performance was a powerful showcase of strength, resilience, and self-defense awareness. The act highlighted the importance of women’s safety, confidence, and preparedness in real-life situations. Through an inspiring blend of demonstrations and storytelling, participants witnessed how self-defense techniques empower women to face challenges fearlessly. The performance served as a reminder that true empowerment comes not only from opportunities but also from the ability to protect oneself and stand strong in any situation. The debate session was the highlight of the event, bringing together participants to engage in dynamic and insightful discussions on critical gender-related issues. Participants were given on-the-spot topics and had to argue for or against, fostering a space for diverse perspectives and intellectual challenges.Key topics included: Do safety concerns hold women back from tech careers? – A discussion onsocietal barriers and workplace safety in STEM. Does media empower or stereotype women? Is gender equality achievable in the workplace? – Debating progress, policies, andreal-world implementation. Each participant received certificates of appreciation, and winners were presented with trophies and exciting goodies.
