1. IEEE DAY
IEEE DAY event on 9th October 2018 was organized with a talk delivered by Mr. Ali Mustafa Shaikh , POC , Google Crowdsource about his journey with Google Crowdsource and the other ventures and organizations that the budding AI champ has been associated with till date. Along with this he also discussed about the various technological advancements that are taking place in the world at a rapid rate. The event covered an audience of about 300-400 from different branches of B.E and M. Tech. Students were made aware of the different opportunities that they can make use of to grow technologically. The gathering was addressed by IEEE-RCOEM_SB Chair, Ms. Geetika Mohabe regarding the innumerable advantages of being an IEEE member and the growth that IEEE has for the students.
2. Technovision 11.0
Technovision has been a commendable 15 years journey and this year also the college successfully organized its 11th edition. On 24th August, the inaugural ceremony took place in presence of the Chief Guest, Dr. Pramod M. Padole, Director of VNIT College. Honourable Shri Govindlalji Agarwal, General Secretary, Dr. Rajesh Pande, Principal; Dr.(Mrs.)R. R. Khandelwal, Convener and Prof. P. V. Shiwalkar, Co-convener were present at the event. After lighting the lamp and delivering a motivational speech for all the students, the Chief guest also launched the technical Magazine ‘Souvenir’, for the 11th edition of Technovision.
The ceremony was followed by various events under this TechFest like robo-olympia, paperfest, breadboard maze and so on. They were a technical treat to all the enthusiasts. The cherry on the cake were the intriguing workshops that followed.

4. Training Program
Training on “Effectively and efficiently utilizing the IEEE Xplore platform for project & research” was organized for students and faculty members on 13th August 2018.
5. IEEE Nagpur Subsection PROGRAMMING CONTEST
IEEE Nagpur Subsection programming contest organized on 8th September 2018 at 12:00pm to 6:00pm at CS Lab1 and CS Lab2 of CS Dept. of RCOEM. A total of 109 participants (55 TEAMS) from 8 different colleges worked on 4 different problem statements for about 6 hours.
Mr. Ravi Patel, Software Consultant at Nagpur and Mr. Dhananjay Hedaoo from Persistent Private Limited Nagpur judged the competition.
Cash Prize was awarded to winning team No Callibre (Saurabh Talmate and Naman Vidhyasagar), first runner up team Shield (Raghav Lohit and Rushab Gaherwar) and second runner up team Secular brother (Rajat Agrawal and Shoeib Pathan) and team Noob coders ( Kartik Krishnam and Hardik Shah).Participants came in a good number and showed great enthusiasm for the competition. Coordinators of the programme were Dr. Avinash Agarwal and Prof. Shailendra Aote. Dr (Mrs.) R. R. Khandelwal, IEEE Branch Counsellor, RCOEM was present during the programme.
The organizing student team included Gitika Mohabe, Rutuja Nawade, Atharva Karpate, Saranya Gosh and Anshit Raika.
