Clash of Technovators

28th Nov 2015

The Clash of Technovators was a project competition organized for BE First, Second and third Year students. The competition was held in three phases. The objective was to involve the students in technical activities like circuit designing, model making, mechanism assembling, etc. The participants were allowed to register in team of four people. The winner was the team of Mr. Gaurav Bhatkar from second year engineering.

The details of the competition are as follows:

Phase I: Submission of topic and abstract: The interested candidates were asked to submit their project title and abstract idea of their project. The deadline was 7th August, 2015. Around seventy people registered themselves in group of up to four members.

Phase II: Seminar Round: This round was conducted on 11th August, 2015. The participants were asked to deliver a presentation on the topic they have selected. The feasibility of the project was tested. The groups were shortlisted on the basis of their knowledge, feasibility of their project, project idea, and budget. Ten teams were shortlisted for the final round of model exhibition and evaluation.

Phase III: Final Round: The shortlisted teams were asked to come up with their full working model for evaluation on 22nd September, 2015. Five teams could make their project ideas a reality by the deadline. These five models were evaluated in this final phase. The project on “Automatic Plant Irrigation System” was found to be the best project. The team members were Gaurav Bhatkar, Abhilash Ravankar, Vaishnavi Gawande and Vinita Agrawal all from second year Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering department. The winners were awarded with a memento and certificate.

The competition helped the students to showcase their skills and tested their practical understanding of the subjects. We are very much thankful to the college management, Hon’ Principal sir, Faculty Advisor Prof. P. R. Wankhede sir and the participants for the success of this competition.
