IEEE EMBS UCET IUB (Engineering in Medicine & Biology)

South Punjab is mostly considered as an underdeveloped area of Pakistan covered with deserts and rural areas.  But when it comes to talent and education it is not less than anyone else.

IEEE was initiated in South Punjab on 25^th March 2010 when the IEEE Student branch was opened in University College of Engineering & Technology Islamia University Bahawalpur. Qaiser Ijaz & Dr. Muhammad Ali Qureshi as its founding chairperson & Counsellor.

This journey went through many ups and downs but sustained due to the tireless efforts of its volunteers. After the formation of the first branch in 2010, a new chapter added to this story in 2015 when IEEE student Branch was opened in the University College of Engineering & Technology Islamia University Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan which ultimately led to the foundation of IEEE Bahawalpur Subsection.

IEEE Bahawalpur Subsection was formed on 13^th February 2016. Mr. Anees-ul-Hasnain was its founding chair.  More than fifty IEEE good standing members from south Punjab shared their contribution in signing the petition. The subsection was further strengthened when the IEEE Student Branch in Khawaja Farid University of Engineering & Information technology was initiated in 2017
