Region 10 Director’s Message - Oct 2020
We have reached the 4th quarter of 2020. Even though the global COVID-19 pandemic is still with us, I hope each of you and your families remains safe and healthy! Our IEEE activities have been very much affected by the pandemic, and everything went virtual from March, comprising the Region 10 Annual Meeting, TENSYMP 2020, and our recent R10 SYWL Congress 2020.here are many lessons to learn from 2020, which was unprecedented and very challenging. But, challenges bring opportunities. It is my great honor and privilege to serve Region 10 as Director for 2021-2022. I take this opportunity to thank you all for your kind support and for electing me to this position.I would like to congratulate the leadership of Prof Akinori Nishihara, which was exemplary and outstanding. He led the 2019-2020 Region 10 team in an excellent way and provided immense value-added member engagement during this time of the pandemic.

The mission and vision of IEEE Region 10 WIE is to inspire, engage, encourage, and empower IEEE women so as to form a vibrant community of IEEE women and men innovating the world of tomorrow.
The Region 10 Student Activities Committee takes care of the needs of 45,000+ student members spread over 1250+ student branches in the Asia-Pacific region (R10) of the IEEE.The Region 10 Student Activities Committee takes care of the needs of the student members spread over various student branches in the Asia-Pacific region (R10) of the IEEE. The committee conducts regular and special activities for students to improve technical knowledge, management skills and to enhance networking among members and student branches. The Region 10 SAC website is part of the campaign to enhance networking among the student members, student branches and sections. The website is intended to provide a single platform for all student members to interact, exchange ideas and collaborate in a number of activities being planned and executed for the benefit of student members. The website provides information about all the activities of the Region 10 SAC committee, announcements, projects details, SAC awards, results of competitions, online submission facility for applications and e-alerts for members
IEEE Region 10 Educational Activities The EAB recommends policies on educational matters and implements programs specifically intended to serve the educational pursuits of IEEE members, the engineering and scientific communities, and the general public.
