The morning began with a crisp cool day, overcast and grey. Notwithstanding, the newest IEEE members were busy preparing, rustling and wrapping up gifts to present ahead of the University of Bolton’s IEEE day.

The event was graced with numerous master’s students’ project work displaying their ingenuity and business innovation. It’s fair to say the candidates were well-reserved and fluent on the day.

What a meaningful and encouraging contribution which also allowed critique and character-building.

The event was indeed a success, owing to an assortment of speakers and university-driven presentations. Lest we forget the inauguration of the 2023 IEEE members;

Respect due to past and present IEEE members kicked off the program which was followed by encouraging words from the outgoing president.

Our guest speaker on the day introduced the prospects of gaming and how that technology positively impacts non-gaming fields in our current society.

The power of changing the future truly is at our fingertips.

On the topic of the future and the ethical considerations, Al has exposed. There is a niche area of cross-discipline research which will inevitably shape how and to what extent we, integrate Al into our everyday lives.

An exciting time to be in the IEEE, embarking on research into the numerous fields of prospective hope and sustainability for the wider community, far and wide across continental borders. This day truly was a day to reflect upon and remember the grassroots and creative ability within us all.
