The University of Bimringham IEEE Student Branch had its officer election and membership drive event on 19th April, 2022, via Zoom.

The Chair, Daniel Donaldson, firstly introduced the student branch to all attendees, including the re-activation of the student branch and the establishment of the PES chapter in the student branch. Then he presented the benefits of joining IEEE & PES, followed by a presentation of all events the student branch organised during the past two years. After introducing the responsibilities of each committee officer in the student branch, Daniel invited all candidates to introduce themselves to the audience and make a nomination for their expected officer position. The committee team for 2022-2023 was then elected by a vote, with results as shown below:

• Secretary: Zixuan Jia
• Treasurer: David Li
• Webmaster: Rutwik Patil

The audience got well engaged in the Q&A and relaxing chat session after the election, and showed their interests to join IEEE and PES.
