The IEEE Student Branch, GBPIET is the complete Institute level association that works under IEEE Uttar Pradesh Section region 10. It consists of IEEE professionals and student members who share technical interest and geographical proximity.

It aims to encourage and support students to put their creativity and intelligence into action. It helps students brings up a lot of amazing ideas. It was also created with the vision to give students the opportunity to meet and learn from fellow students, as well as faculty members and professionals in the field. As we want to make every student here in GBPIET to contribute her/his own bit to science and technology.
IEEE STUDENT CHAPTER
IEEE is an opportunity. It will help you to interact with other IEEE members of your Student branch (SB) and also with the local section members. The membership will help you boost the technical knowledge in you and also keep oneself updated. Involving in SB activities not only helps you to acquire technical skills but helps you to get managerial skills as well as help to network with other enthusiastic students, volunteers as well as professional members. Its all about your passion towards a scientific and technical arena.
What is IEEE ?
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Incorporated (IEEE) is a non-profit corporation, incorporated in the state of New York on 16 March 1896. The purpose of the IEEE is to engage exclusively in scientific and educational activities within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, directed toward the advancement of the theory and practice of electrical, electronics, communications and computer engineering, as well as computer science, the allied branches of engineering and the related arts and sciences, which benefit the engineering profession and the public.
By Volunteering at the SB Level to organize events, helps you learn teamwork, and enhances your management, leadership skills. The dedication to volunteering at SB Level will open up opportunities at the Section/Region/Council Level as well, thereby enhancing your skill-set and your professional network.

5. IEEE student section will have Hub meetings. “Networking” or in short you will have some new friends from different colleges to help you. You could share your ideas. its fun too.
IEEE Collabratec is a social network for IEEE Members only. This can be used to collaborate with your contacts/network, share important information etc. IEEE ResumeLab lets you create and customise your resume from various styles/templates. myIEEE is a personalised portal to access your member benefits. There are so many IEEE Member Benefits available online. http://IEEE.tv provides lot of technical content such as online courses, videos on technology, streaming of conferences etc. IEEE Student Members can access http://IEEE.tv for free.
You will get a chance to interact and network with other IEEE Members at your college. When you go to attend IEEE Events outside, your professional network grows manifold. you get to meet and interact with IEEE members from various places, resource persons from industry and academia as well.
Technical Societies further concentrate on particular fields of engineering/technology. These societies conduct their own International Conferences, have their own magazines/newsletters, offer online courses etc. IEEE Computer Society (CS) has its own digital library.
With Technical Magazines like IEEE Spectrum, IEEE Potentials and IEEE The Institute Newsletter, You will be able to stay updated with the latest advancements in your field of interest and all fields in general. You will get regular updates about the various international and national IEEE Conferences happening at various places.
