IEEE Students Take Top Honors at Students Activities Conference

Students from Penn State Harrisburg IEEE student chapter attended the annual region 2 Student Activities Conferences (SAC) at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia from April 5-7. Students competed in different events including Brown Bag (I), Brown bag (II), Sumo-Bot (Kit) and Women in Engineering (WIE) teach. Twenty-five other colleges and university from Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, Deleware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and the district of Columbia were involved in the said conference.

Students including Ira Matthews, Ron Shaeffer, Zach Snyder, and Ryan Thompson took first place in the Brown Bag II (Analog Circuit Design) event. Each team consisted of 1-4 members which were given a bag of various components to complete the challenge. In addition, the IEEE student chapter received an award of exemplary performance for the 2017-2018 academic year.
