Chair

Vibhuti is pursuing Ph.D. in the field of “Virtual Reality-Based Rehabilitation with Different Neuromotor Impairments” at Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research Institute/Unit at CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation, Chandigarh, India. She received her B.Tech in EC Engineering from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla (HP). She holds an ME in Electrical (Instrumentation & Control) Engineering from National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research, Chandigarh. She is currently working as an ICMR – SRF at CSIR-CSIO, Chandigarh. Her area of interest lies around the development of VR Therapies modules, rehabilitation, motor and cognitive impairment and embedded systems.

Anubrata Roy received the B.Tech. in EC Engineering from Kalyani Government Engineering College (WB). He received his M.Tech. in Advanced Instrumentation Engineering from the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research at CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIO), Chandigarh, India in 2020, where he is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree. He has worked as a Project Associate at CSIR-CSIO for 6 months where he has done testing, maintenance of a recruitment portal for CSIR staffs. He is a recipient of the prestigious “Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme for Electronics & IT” from MeitY, Govt. of India. His research interests include Signal Processing, Earthquake Early Warning, Embedded Systems and Machine Learning.

Secretary

Aparajita Parashar is pursuing Ph.D. in the field of “Optical Fabrication” at Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research Institute/Unit at CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation, Chandigarh, India. She received her B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. She holds an M. Tech in Advanced Instrumentation from AcSIR – CSIO, Chandigarh. She is currently working as a CSIR GATE – Senior Research Fellow at CSIR-CSIO, Chandigarh. Her area of interest lies around the manufacturing of optical elements, chemical mechanical polishing and surface analysis of optical glass                                                                                                                                                                                       .

Webmaster

Ujjawal Prakash is pursing Ph.D. in the field of “Multi-sensor fusion based drive control” at Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research Institute/Unit at CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation, Chandigarh, India. He received his B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from RGPV University Bhopal (MP). He holds M.Tech in Electrical  (CMC & PEA) form NIT Hamirpur (HP). He has one and half years of experience as a Project Associate I at CSIR-CSIO, Chandigarh and four years teaching experience at Edukalp Educational Pvt. Ltd. Noida (UP). His area of interest lies around the Sensor Fusion, Obstacle Detection, Drive Controller, PCB Designing and Embedded System                                                                                                                                    .

IEEE WIE Strives to:

  • Provide assistance with the formation of new IEEE WIE Affinity Groups and support ongoing activities.
  • Recognize the outstanding achievements of women in electrical and electronics engineering through IEEE Awards nominations.
  • Organize workshops at major technical conferences to enhance networking and to promote membership in IEEE WIE.
  • Advocate women in leadership roles in IEEE governance and career advancement for women in the profession.

 

 

  • Promote member grade advancement for women to the IEEE membership grades of Senior Member and Fellow.
  • Facilitate the development of programs and activities that promote the entry into, and retention of, women in engineering programs.
  • Administer the IEEE Student-Teacher and Research Engineer/Scientist (STAR) Program to mentor young women in junior high and high schools.
