IEEE Lab Hours

For those of you looking to use the lab for yourselves, our lab hours are attached. These are times when we guarantee our lab, Light Eng. 175 to be open and staffed – starting after GBM1.

Live updates are posted in our discord server in the channel #is-the-lab-open.
Lab Hours are also posted in the channel #😎lab-hours😎

What do I mean by the lab?

IEEE @ SBU has a little shop in Light Engineering 175. We’ve got all the electrical equipment, people, expertise and good vibes you might need to begin, continue, or finish a project. If you don’t have a project, swing by still! The IEEE lab is a great place to chill out or complete any work you might need to do for classes.

Equipment

  • 3-Output DC Power Supplies
  • Oscilloscopes
  • Saleae Logic Analyzer
  • Soldering Stations
  • Basys 3 FPGAs
  • ATMega 4809s
  • 3D printer
  • And More…

IEEE Stony Brook is looking to attend the 2024 Rising Stars Conference on January 5-7th, 2024 in Las Vegas, NV. There may be sponsorships available as we work to figure out the logistics.

Annual IEEE Picnic

That’s all for now! I expect to see everyone reading this newsletter to be at GBM1!
